 Who We Are: DHCC Directors and Staff

Dr. William Godolphin | Co-Director
Division of Health Care Communication, College of Health Disciplines

Dr. Godolphin has been a teacher and researcher for many years, with projects and publications ranging across lipoproteins, breast cancer prognostic factors, clinical laboratory toxicology, laboratory automation and medical education. He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.

 Angela Towle

Dr. Angela Towle | Co-Director
Division of Health Care Communication, College of Health Disciplines

Dr. Towle's expertise, especially in the management of change, builds on her past experience in health services development and change in medical education with the King's Fund, London, UK. She was Associate Dean, MD Undergraduate Education in the Faculty of Medicine from 2003 to 2010. She is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Senior Scholar in the Centre for Health Education Scholarship at UBC. 

 

Cathy Kline | Research Coordinator 
Division of Health Care Communication, College of Health Disciplines

Cathy joined the Division of Health Care Communication in October 2003 and coordinates many of the Division's research endeavours. She has a BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and an MA in Health Education from Dalhousie University.

 

Brianne Nettelfield | Assistant Coordinator
Division of Health Care Communication, College of Health Disciplines

Brianne helps to coordinate the Interprofessional Health Mentors Program and the Patient Community Voices Workshop Series. She came to the Division after completing a BA in Cultural Studies at UBC Okanagan and a Certificate in Film Arts from Langara College in Vancouver.

Carrie Hunter | Workstudy Study
September 2012

Carrie coordinates the Talk to Your Doc program and is a PhD candidate in Educational Studies. She currently is researching higher education policy and the "Knowledge Based Economy." She has been involved in other research in medical student training and continuing medical education for health professionals. She has also been a pharmaceutical and community health education trainer.

 

Denise Kwan  Work Study Student
2012 - Present

Denise has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and is finishign up a Bachelor of Social Work degree at UBC. She presently coordinates the annual Allies in Health: Community & Patient Fair.
